In class we have been learning about the poems by Hone Tūwhare. He wrote sensory poems. We heard “Rain”, and then i wrote my own version. Mine is about Watermelon.

If you were going to write a poem, What would you write it about, and why you picked that as your topic?  I wrote mine about Watermelon because i like it and i thought it would be fun to write about.

Hi Andie-Rose here today i am going to be telling you all about the four different colours of poppies, most of this information is explained in the video so go ahead and watch it.

As you can tell there is another voice thats different from mine in the video, Well that is my friend penny we decided we would work together to get it done faster and well why not she is my friend after all.

If you could make a poppy what colour would it be and what would you commemorate it to from the war. If i made a poppy mine would be pink to commemorate to all the nurses who gave their life’s to help all of the injured soldiers.

                                        Making a Dancing like The Stars Performance

This week on Monday and Tuesday we walked to the circus hall in New Brighton. At the circus hall we met two teachers who taught us all some key circus moves (i feel pro)

On Monday we all went in to groups of two or three, my group was Isabel Elisa and Me. then we learnt some really cool circus moves.

Then on Tuesday we went into groups of nine or ten and there were three rotations the first one i went to was with a hula hoop, then the next one was with ribbon things that you swing around *i felt like miss trunchbull* Then we went to the devil thingy. then on the way back IT RAINED ):

I had so much fun and am so excited to go next week.

Would you rather do Circus or Dance?

This afternoon after korean class Miss Hanne gave us our duffy books, everyone got two each.  the books i got were, I survived and outfoxed. One is about a boy and his family who are swept out in a tsunami in japan 2011, the other is about a fox in summer, sky and her park ranger cousin find a baby fox  injured  in a trap she names it kitkat.

what books sounds the best to you and why?

On Monday, the 8th of December. The whole of New Brighton Catholic School had a Feast day celebration.

Firstly we went to a Virtues assembly,explaining what a feast day is. There were speeches said by Stella and Kobe, Explaining what we do on feast day. After that we went to the hall to do the raffle draw, there were multiple prizes and three people from our school got to go up and receive prizes.

After lunch we all lined up and got in our groups, my group had seven people 1 Bella, 2 Andie/me, 3 Ellie, 4 Carson, 5 Charlie, 6 Year one Bella. After that we rotated around the domain for the whole middle block.

After we had finished our top team challenge kit was lunch time. After lunch we had the talent quest it took the whole afternoon but was so worth it.

      Hi Andie here, and today I am going to show you what we have been doing here in room one this week.        This week in room one we have been learning about the Ground rules for conversation,There are 5 rules.        Here are the 5 rules ~Always respect each other’s ideas~Listen to what people have to say~Stick to the topic~Invite others to share their ideas~And ask questions.

After Miss Hamilton had explained the Ground Rules on the mat she sent us to our groups.

Today in room one we learned about Volcanoes in Science. we all had to get into groups of 5 or 6, i was in a group of six with tegan,Saffron,Penny,Erin and Leila.

The first thing we did was sit on the mat and Mrs Webster told us all about Volcanoes, Did you know that before the lava comes out of the crater it is called Magma? cool right then the next thing we did was get into groups  and then we went outside and did a race with liquids, i was routing for cooking oil from the start!

The liquids we had were Water,Cooking oil,Dish washing and maple syrup. here they are in the order of placing. At first we have got Water then in the second place is cooking oil, third is Dish Washing Liquid and last is Maple Syrup.

(Gruradanaduha!!) did you hear that? It sounds like a zombie, let me translate this. Omg the zombie is saying Halloween is creepy coming, Let me tell you what I am going to do for Halloween. This Halloween me and my family are going to be scaring the people, that dare to come up to our house, there is going to be smoke machines, creepy sounds, jump scares and my family hiding in creepy costumes.

The costumes my family and I are thinking of wearing are, Scream, zombie,creepy doll with creaks on our face, or the people from hotel Transylvanian.

On Wednesday I made a book cover about friends and how to treat them, here is an image of my cover.

On Wednesday I made a WANTED!! poster about my costume for Book Character Day. It was about the White Rabbit being WANTED!! for being late to the annual queens tea party. Here is an image of my poster!!! <3
